Mumbai: Athletes from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’s 'Mahindra's Lions Sports and Career Academy' delivered a historic and extraordinary performance at the 24th International 'Jeet Kune Do' Championship held at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai, on June 27. Nine athletes from the academy participated in the event, collectively securing a total of 18 medals-comprising 3 gold, 5 silver, and 10 bronze.

The championship, organized by the Global World Sports Jeet Kune Do Federation of India, was inaugurated by the renowned film industry stunt and martial arts director, Dr. Cheetah Yajnesh Shetty. Dignitaries present at the event included JKD Chief Technical Director Rajendra Kumar Vora, Nepal’s Rajkumar Parsai, General Secretary Vijender Gohar, Prakash Nakashe of 'MASKA', and martial arts organizer Rafiq Jamadar. More than 1,500 athletes from India and abroad participated in the competition.

The winning athletes received invaluable guidance from the academy's Director and Head Coach, Mahendra Rangari, and Rafiq Jamadar. Dr. Shatrunjay Kote, Dr. Makarand Joshi, Dr. R.V. Siddiqui, Dr. Meenakshi Muliya, and various sports enthusiasts have congratulated the athletes on this unprecedented success.
