Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Firmly believing that the foundation of excellence in sports lies in providing young talent with the right opportunities, proper guidance, and necessary resources, the MGM Golf Club has extended a helping hand to two promising golfers as part of its social commitment. This commendable event took place during the grand closing ceremony of the 'Ambassador Cup 2026,' organized jointly by 'The Golf Foundation' (TGF), the 'BMW Sports Development' program, and the 'MGM Golf Club.'
Empowering the dreams of two young golfers
During the event, two talented and promising young golfers-14-year-old Prathamesh and 7-year-old Ayush-were provided with essential, international-standard sports equipment, including new golf sets, golf shoes, T-shirts, and golf balls, to support their future journey.
The equipment was distributed by District Collector Vinay Gowda, Aditya Jiwane, Divisional Commissioner G. Srikant, and MGM Golf Club founder Dr. Ranjit Kakkad. These senior administrative officials and dignitaries patted the young golfers on the back in appreciation and extended their best wishes for a bright future.
An investment in the champions of tomorrow!
'The Golf Foundation,' established by Arjuna Award-winning golfer Amit Luthra, has consistently played a pivotal role in encouraging talented golfers from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and helping them reach national and international levels. Fourteen-year-old Prathamesh and seven-year-old Ayush are not merely names; they represent two rays of hope for the bright future of golf in India. "Every great athlete's journey begins with a single opportunity. The support and sports equipment provided today represent an investment in the champions of tomorrow," were the sentiments expressed on this occasion. MGM Golf Club expressed confidence that with the right opportunities, scientific guidance, and consistent support, these promising children from rural areas would one day proudly fly India's tricolour on the global stage.
