Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Maharashtra team delivered an outstanding performance to secure third place at the National Korfball Championship (Youth Category), held from June 26 to 28 at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar, Punjab. Sairaj Kashte and Rajvardhan More, players from the 'MSM Basketball Academy' in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, played a pivotal role in this success.

In a fiercely contested match for third place, the Maharashtra team defeated Chhattisgarh by a score of 6–4. Sairaj and Rajvardhan won the hearts of the spectators with their excellent gameplay during the match. Earlier in the tournament, the Maharashtra team had advanced by comfortably defeating Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. This achievement holds great significance, as the Indian squad for the Asian International Korfball Championship will be selected based on performances in this tournament.
